Maria Coletsis

Fractal Forest is a series of photographs which explores the never-ending patterns in nature. By repeating and rotating the self-similar image, I was drawn to the vortex created in the center and how new shapes are formed and imagined in this new landscape of symbols and sexuality. I began with the forest and moved deeper to the plant life within it, discovering spiritual motifs and organic fluidity.
